Inter Planet Journey has always intrigued us . So, we thought like why not create a spaceship for the same and Voila !!! we ended up designing one. At first, the design might seem a lile bit intimidating but when you examine it closely enough you find the beauty of this design. The Space Ship that we designed here is a partially reusable low Earth orbital spacecraft system.
The Ship components included the Orbiter Vehicle (OV), a pair of recoverable solid rocket boosters (SRBs), and the expendable external tank (ET) containing liquid hydrogen and liquid oxygen. The Ship would be launched vertically, like a conventional rocket, with the two SRBs operating in parallel with the OV's three main engines, which were fuelled from the ET.
The SRBs were jettisoned before the vehicle reached orbit, and the ET was jettisoned just before orbit insertion, which used the orbiter's two Orbital Manoeuvring System (OMS) engines. Sounds amazing isn't it ?
